GHK indoor nets have been booked! Sessions will run every Thursday from 21st Feb to 28th March 2013, 7.30pm til 9pm in the High School of Glasgow main sports hall. It's free to attend and open to everyone of all ages and standards.

The 2012 GHK CC AGM will take place on Thursday 29th November, 7.30pm in the pavilion. All members are encouraged to attend. With winter nets well and truly underway, annuals subs will be collected over the coming weeks. Please make things easy for the club committee & have your subs ready at the earliest opportunity. Subs are £120 for those in full time employment & £60 for all others. There are also GHK rainjackets available for sale at the bargain price of £15. A number of sizes remain, so please let Nav know if you are in need of one.

GHK indoor nets for season 2012 start on Thursday 9th February in the High School of Glasgow sports hall. There are sessions every Thursday up to and including 29th March, except for 16th February when the school is closed. Each session runs between 7pm - 9pm and is free to attend. New players of any standard are always welcome to come along.

Indoor nets have now finished. Outdoor nets start this Wednesday (6th April) at 6.30pm at Old Anniesland and continue, weather permitting, every Wednesday until the end of the season. All current players should attend and new players are also welcome to show up.

Start time will be either 6.30pm or 7pm, to be confirmed later. All club members should attend and any non-members / new players are very welcome to turn up to any of the sessions. All the net sessions are free of charge.

Outdoor training starts this Wednesday (14th) on the Old Anniesland playing fields at 6pm, and continues every Wednesday throughout the summer. The intra-club pre-season friendly is this Sunday (18th), 1pm start, teams to be posted on the forum shortly. The club are ordering new cricket shirts and caps embroidered with the club logo. This kit must be worn by all 1st and 2nd XI players in league matches as of April 2010. You should already have been contacted by a team captain to get your shirt size - if this hasn't happened, contact a captain or committee member directly.

All players must be registered for the club before playing in any league games this year to comply with a new WDCU rule. To do this, all players must complete and sign a form and have a photograph taken. This will then be submitted to the league who approve your registration and assign you an ID number. Forms will be available and photos will be taken at indoor nets. IMPORTANT - The club will not register you with the league until you have paid your sub for season 2010. Please bring your sub to the first indoor net you attend.

Tapeball : All club members are invited to join Waqas, Khizar, Zishaan et al for indoor tapeball games during the off-season. The first game is on Sunday 30th November in Hyndland Secondary School sports hall from 1pm - 4pm. Cost is approx. £3 - £5 per person. Should be entertaining and a good way to keep your skills up over the winter. Anyone interested please reply to the tapeball thread on the forum or contact Waqas or Rixon.

At last night's EGM it was decided that GHK will field 2 teams in the WDCU Saturday league next year, one in Division 1 and the other in Division 3. Remaining fixtures for Crow Road this season have now been finalised and added to the Fixtures & Results page. It's a double header this weekend (26th & 27th July) followed by one match per weekend til August 30th, except for the weekend of the tour (9th & 10th August) when we have no game. Not all dates are 100% finalised yet but it's pretty unlikely that anything will change. NB the match 'Away' v Whiteinch on August 2nd will actually take place at Old Anniesland as they can't get a ground.

Apologies for the website being down over the last couple of weeks. The site was disabled due to attacks by hackers, which hopefully have been resolved by the deletion of the old forum. A new forum has been set-up on an external host to provide greater security. As such, everyone needs to re-register for this new forum, which has three stages: 1. Fill out the registration form. 2. Click on the verification link in an email sent to your email account. 3. Wait for an administrator to activate your registration (this should be done within a day, if not get in contact with Adam for him to do so).

If you are available to play only certain games, or have a overwhelming desire to play against certain opposition, then let the appropriate captain know. It saves them time in chasing people up. And please use the forum. It's there for our benefit!

Scorecard and report from Saturday's GHK v Weirs friendly has now been added to the Fixture & Results section. All fixtures for GHK, Strathclyde and Crow Road have also been added to this section. Note that the dates and opponents for Crow Road's last 5 or 6 games of the season haven't been decided yet. After every team in Division 5 has played each other once, the league table will split ala the SPL and who Crow Road play for the remainder of the season will depend which half of the split we finish in.
